GTA 5 came out all the way back in 2013 and since then has featured on 3 different generations of consoles, boy talk about longevity. GTA 5 over the years has sold tons of copies and the online servers are still crowded but fans have been asking and demanding for the next entry in the series. The fans have been so desperate and hungry for a new especially after the horrendous GTA trilogy released last year. Rockstar studios finally have officially provided some updates regarding the future of the series and have hinted about the next Grand Theft Auto game which could be GTA 6.

GTA 5 and GTA online are set to get a PS5 and Xbox series X release on March 15, 2022. After a delay, Rockstar has finally confirmed that the 2013 classic will hit the next-gen consoles.
Although a next-gen release was not really wanted by the fans as they have been eagerly waiting for a new GTA game. The fans can take a sigh of relief and all the rumours and negativity about the next GTA can be put aside as Rockstar has confirmed that the new entry for the Grand theft Auto series is under development!

The expected release date
After years of ‘unofficial leaks’ and the never-ending wait, we finally get something and honestly it’s satisfying to at least know that the development of the game is underway.
Rockstar started working on the next Grand Theft Auto game all the way back in 2020. That would mean that the game is still a long way from release. Further reports have estimated the game to arrive in 2024 or even 2025.
Is it Grand theft Auto 6?
It is interesting that Rockstar doesn’t refer to the game as GTA 6 but as the ‘next GTA game.’ Reports have also claimed that the game could actually go back to the Vice City like Miami setting. The game could easily still end up named something else and even if it is it doesn’t make much difference.
