Why The RTX 4000 Series video cards will have a huge performance boost over the previous gen

Everyone is super excited about next-generation Nvidia GPUs as the new GPUs will be based on Samsung’s new TSMC5nm technology and the expected performance improvement is huge. The cards are expected to have specs like never before as the Cuda Core count in the flagship card are expected to be as high as 18000 which is almost 8000 more than the RTX 3090.

There have been speculations regarding the potential output of the RTX 4090 to be 2.5 times more than the RTX 3090. Above we have listed the performance, price and specs you can expect the RTX 4000 cards to have when they come out later this year. Since the cards are gonna be producing so much output it is quite possible for them to be very power-hungry.

Every GPU from the Nvidia RTX 4000 series

1. RTX 4050

The Cheapest and the β€˜Entry level card’ from Nvidia in the Lovelace series is going to be the RTX 4050. The RTX 4050 is rumoured to retail for around $249. Featuring 4/8GB of G6 memory with a 128bit bus. The Entry-level RTX 4050 is expected to have a huge performance jump and is rumoured to be able to match the RTX 3060Ti in terms of performance as it will include 3072 Cuda Cores.

2. RTX 4050Ti

Much like the previous Nvidia generations, the X050 card is going to have a β€˜Ti’ variant. The RTX 4050 Ti will rock 8GB of VRAM with 3584 Cuda Cores running at a speed of 2.25Ghz. The RTX 4050Ti is expected to be 10-15% faster than the non-Ti(RTX 4050) and will easily match up to the RTX 3070 at a price point of around $329.

3. RTX 4060

The RTX 4060 is expected to retail for a price point of around $429 and will be able to match up the performance of the RTX 3070Ti. Though it is disappointing the Card will only feature 8GB of G6 memory which honestly doesn’t make much sense at this price.

4. RTX 4060 Ti

The RTX 4060Ti in our opinion is going to be the most popular one as it comes at a perfect price for most budgets(Granted it retails for the MSRP) with an impeccable performance comparable to the previous-gen RTX 3090. The 4060Ti will come with 6144 Cuda Cores and 12GB VRAM. The RTX 4060Ti is expected to have an MSRP of $549 making it a perfect Card for PC builds around the $1200+ budget.

5.RTX 4070

The RTX 4070 is expected to be the first card truly faster than the RTX 3090. This might probably be the game changer as it is priced at half the price. The 4070 cards will feature 12GB G6X+ memory with 7680 Cuda Cores on a 192bit bus. In terms of true performance, the RTX 4070 is rumoured to be at least 10% faster than the ultimate flagship 3090.

6.RTX 4080

The RTX 4080 is going to be the start of the flagship GPUs in the Lovelace lineup. The RTX 4080 will feature 10752 Cuda Cores 256 more than the RTX 3090! The RTX 4080 is expected to stomp the 3090 with at least 40% performance improvement over the latter. In Addition, the 4080 will feature 16GB G6X+ with 256bit bus and 96MB cache size.

7.RTX 4080Ti

The RTX 4080Ti which in our opinion is going to be the last affordable GPU for β€˜Gaming’ as anything more than that just doesn’t provide that much value per price will feature a whopping 20GB G6X+ memory with an improved bus of 320bit and 13824 Cuda Cores. The 4080Ti is expected to be 60% faster than the RTX 3090 at almost a similar MSRP.

8. RTX 4090

The RTX 4090 is going to be the next overkill GPU by Nvidia with 24GB of VRAM and a Whopping 16,896 Cuda Cores. The RTX 4090 is probably going to be the card to bring 8k gaming into the scene more as it is expected to be almost 80% faster than the RTX 3090 at a price of $1800.

9.RTX 4090Ti

There have been rumours about Nvidia releasing another flagship card that will be 10% faster than the 4090 and might end up getting called Titan or the 4090Ti. The supposed 4090Ti will rock 18432 Cuda Cores with a clock speed of around 2.4GHz. The 4090Ti will have an MSRP of more than $2000 which kinda makes it a non-sensible choice for gamers.

The Lovelace series coming later this year is expected to be a total game-changer. With such huge performance spikes, we expect good competition as intel is also set to enter the GPU market soon making it a very custom friendly situation.
