Marvel’s Spiderman Swing speed mod is out for PC and sends you flying
The first Script mods for Spiderman PC have started rolling and the first one has dropped like a bomb. We all have been waiting eagerly for Scripthook for Spiderman to be created as that will truly begin ‘the great modding era’ of Spiderman PC. The first Script mod allows you to modify the swing speed with a simple menu interface! With this script mod, you can now actually swing as fast and launch as high as the final swing endings in the Spider-Man movies, making you the best web-slinger in the Spider-Verse.
The Swing mod
The web-swinging in Spiderman games can be either purely physics-based like Web of shadows or Spiderman 2 for PS2 or entirely animation-based like Swinging in Marvel’s Avengers. Insomniac game went with a mixture of both which creates a sweet and satisfying experience for us. The Swing mod allows you to go higher and faster to make it a more realistic experience closer to the Movies and animated series.
The Swing mod doesn’t increase the speed at which Spiderman Swing when holding on to the web but rather increases the speed and distance the webhead goes when releasing himself from a swing. This ultimately carries forward the momentum and allows you to go at a much faster pace.
The mod offers a lot of freedom to customise the speed to your liking as you can set any value starting from 0. You can go as high as you like but anything above 10-15 is simply not practical but can be used to have some laughs. Setting the speed to around 20-25 can send you flying even higher than the empire state building.
Recommended speed for a natural web-slinging experience
A value between 4-8 is the best for a good natural swinging experience. Depending on your preference you can choose either a value of 4 for a slight upgrade in the speed when releasing the web or you can go with a more noticeable value of 7-8 however, 6 is my sweet spot for a smooth and just right web-slinging experience.

How to fix the mod not launching (common error)
A lot of users have been facing issues while launching the SMPC script hook where the mod terminal window stays stuck at ‘waiting for the game to launch ‘. In order to fix this launch the game first normally. Once you are in the game run the SMPC script hook as administrator, and then the mod terminal will automatically detect the game and close itself with a “success!” message.
